Visual Studies Workshop (VSW) seeks proposals from artists for its Project Space. The Project Space is a gallery workspace for artists working in photography, book art, and moving images. Accepted proposals will receive up to four weeks time in the Project Space, full access to the collections and studios at VSW, assistance from VSW staff, and a $750 stipend.

The Project Space provides artists the opportunity to experiment with new work, new display strategies, and to have discussions with critics, curators, graduate students, and the community-at-large about works in-progress. Artists open the Project Space to the public in one or more open studio sessions during the residency.

Multiple time slots from April through December 2019 are now open.

Accepted residents from outside the Western New York region will be provided a free furnished studio apartment two blocks away from VSW.
